#2—This par 71/73 layout of 18 holes, at 5712 yards with three tee boxes, is eminently playable for all ages and ability levels.

#3—The irrigation and drainage system provides lush fairways in summer and the valley’s driest conditions in winter.

#4—Our challenging greens, tended by our superlative grounds crew, are known far and wide as some of the best on the Island.

#5—While limited by geography, the practice facility is still an excellent place for warm-ups or sharpening skills.

#15 – Professional staff with an active junior teaching program offer complementary skill seminars and reasonably priced private instruction.

#16 – A new fleet of EV Golf rental carts with day-use discounts and seasonal passes for members.

#17 – Available year-round course use and storage of private member carts (EV only) in our new, secure cart shed facility at an affordable and all-inclusive price.

#18 – New for 2025, the free ‘Mount Brenton App’ for your mobile phone or pad features push notification news, course conditions, short notice available tee times and yardage calculations, as well as a Pub menu and specials with pre-order of food and drink from anywhere on the course.

The covered deck affords one of the best vistas in Chemainus, spanning views of 5 of our 18 holes.

Member Categories

All figures (except share) are subject to 5% GST. New members joining part way through the year will pay prorated dues for the remainder of the year, with renewal for the new year on or before January 1. Details for all categories are listed in Membership Section-3 of the MB Operations Manual and can be found on the website.

Regular—Full: For adults aged 40 and over, the annual rate is $2118 from Jan 1 to Dec 31, which includes complete booking and year-round playing privileges. New members must pay an entry fee of $1000 and a voting share of $100 in Mount Brenton Golf Course Ltd. Spousal partners of new members receive a 50% discount on the entry fee but the full annual dues and share cost.

Regular—Limited: For adults aged 40 and over, bookings and play are limited to after 1 p.m. during the high season from April 1 to October 31, with unlimited play during the winter season. Additional play before 1 p.m. incurs the guest green fee rate. Annual dues are $1,589. There is an entry fee of $1,000 and a share fee of $100. A spousal discount applies.

Intermediate:  For adults between 19 and 39 with unlimited booking and year-round playing privileges.  No entry fee, but the share purchase is at $100.  Annual dues are $1589. Intermediates receive a discount of 10% per year of membership, which is applied to the entry fee when transitioning to regular categories.

Student: Ages 19 and over registered in a recognized (CRA defined) post-secondary collegiate or university program.  No entry or share cost—annual dues are $635. A 10% discount per membership year will be applied to future entry fees: unlimited booking and year-round playing privileges.

Junior:   Ages 13 to 18, placed in two divisions: Div. 1: ages 13 – 15, annual dues are $212, and Div. 2: ages 16 – 18, annual dues are $318. No entry or share cost. A 10% discount per membership year will be applied to future entry fees: unlimited booking and year-round playing privileges.  

Children and grandchildren of current members qualify for a complimentary membership.

Children aged 12 and under can play for free when accompanied by an adult member or an adult paying a green fee. (Some restrictions on tee times and play may apply.)

Member Cart Storage/Trail Fees: All-inclusive annual fees for EV cart storage for 2025, $456. Certain restrictions, contractual obligations and mandatory requirements for Cart Storage and Cart use on Club property are listed in Section 9 of the MB Operations Manual.
